Why only in his name?

Why so much protest in his name when about 3000 murders take place every day across the globe?  Every day, without exception, we read in newspapers, see on television screens, hear from someone about murders of human beings by human beings. Such crimes take place out of anger on the spur of the moment or in a planned manner.  We all can cite numerous instances of murders by family members, by friends, by lovers, by enemies or by total strangers. Arvind Kejriwal has become a nuisance

Arvind Kejriwal has become a nuisance. The Delhi High Court has rightly asked him , ‘who authorised you to hold dharana at LG House?’ The rise and imminent fall of Arvind Kejriwal (the process of fall has started) reminds me of the rise and fall of Napoleon Bonaparte though there is little in common between the two who belong to two entirely different periods in history. If Napoleon was responsible for killing millions of people, Kejriw...

Rape cases: 49 retired civil servants must read this reply

Rape case in Kathus: there are 4 policemen among 8 accused                           Is MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar more powerful than UP DGP? Rape is a serious social crime. It should not be politicised. It is no coincidence that the 49 ex-civil servants include members of the extra-constitutional body, National Advisory Council, set up by Sonia Gandhi under her own chairmanship. Dear retired civil servants, Like thousands of In

Enemies within are more dangerous

Cicero More than 2000 years ago, Marcus Tullius Cicero (January 3, 106 BC - December 7, 43 BC, the date of his assassination), a Roman politician and lawyer and also one of the ancient Rome’s greatest orators and prose stylists had cautioned rulers, “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor mo...

Arvind Kejriwal should seek apology in advance

Do this in advance Anti-corruption movements have given two unique political leaders. If the JP movement against corruption ‘gifted’ ‘Lalu Prasad to Bihar, the Anna Hazare movement against corruption ‘gifted’ to the people of Delhi Aravind Kejriwal. Both gave new dimensions to politics. I am not saying that the two are two sides of the same coin. My apology, if I am misunderstood. (The ‘apology’ is part of politics Kejriwal has ‘taught’.) There is a ...

Can Cambridge Analytica “elixir” make politicians “taller”?

(Downloaded from internet) The political atmosphere, not just in our country, but also even in far off USA, has become quite hot because of allegations of use of the services of “Cambridge Analytica” for success in politics. It is very much like allegations of use of banned drugs in sports. Congress and BJP are engaged in allegations and counter allegations of hiring Cambridge Analytica. The BJP has alleged that Rahul Gandhi has met the own...

Establish direct link between vegetable growers and consumers

It is a well-known fact that often vegetable growers are unable to recover even the cost of production and are forced to throwaway vegetables or feed animals while consumers pay heavy price for the same vegetables. The vast disparity between the price offered to growers and the price charged from consumers is primarily due to intermediaries (middlemen). The number of intermediaries between growers and consumers may be five or six. A study conducted a c...

Unite, destabilise and share the booty

As the next round of great political battle – general election 2019 – is drawing closer, the ambitious politicians outside of the whatever is left or is likely to be left of the Narendra Modi led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are getting desperate. They know that since their parties are relevant only in their respective pockets of influence, their ambitions can be fulfilled only when the NDA, to be more precise the BJP, is defeated in 20...

Linking Aadhaar to various services, a tough task

The Government of India has made it mandatory to link Aadhaar No. (Unique Idetication Number with gender, photograph, date of birth, address and biometric marks) to PAN (Permanent Account Number which is mandatory for financial transactions beyond prescribed limits and for filing income tax returns), income tax returns, bank accounts, insurance, mobiles, etc. by March 31, 2018. During my endeavour to comply with the government order, I discovered th...

PNB Fraud: CBI and ED should quiz Rahul Gandhi

The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and ED (Enforcement Directorate) should quiz the Congress President Rahul Gandhi to understand the real modus operandi used by Nirav Modi and others to commit frauds and siphon off thousands of crores of rupees from the Punjab National Bank and other banks. If quizzing him is not already on the agenda of the investigating agencies, they should include it as early as possible. I am not joking. I am qui...
